I agree about playing TI4 with friends is key, or players that don’t take competitive games personally.

On the subject of spending on boardgames. I went completely crazy in 2019 ($69,612.34), less crazy in 2020 ($24,654.85) then became a reasonable spender so far in 2021 ($427.90). Average price of the games I own is $62 USD. Although I had spent tons of money very quickly, luckily it didn’t cause any issues. My wife knows all and I keep no secrets, and thankfully she’s been enjoying board gaming as much as I have.

We just finished all 15 Chapters of Tainted Grail Fall of Avalon. We had 3 players for the entire campaign. TG has been on the table for about 2 months. We kept the number of plays and hours. Drumroll 🥁 🥁 🥁..... from Jan 27th we played 21 session for about of 60 hours.
